In Haiti
HERE are some pictures and videos of Operation Unified Response for the Haiti earthquake. I got an hours notice for me to get all of my stuff packed. We were there for a total of about two and a half months. I did't get to go on land but did get to fly over the island and take pictures.
We were really busy for the first month or so. After that things really died down. Even to a point to where everyone was wondering why the heck we were still there. The last month we were there all we did was fly around VIP's, i.e. Captains, Admirals, Generals etc.
The weather was really hot throughout the day. Luckily I worked the night shift. We had two shifts; 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am. Twelve on, twelve off.
Overall it was a mission that you can be proud to have taken part of but at the same time we were ready to get back home.

I was thinking about Being an IT in the Navy is that a good jobs?
Hey Jrock i love your videos they really helped me get a insite into the navy life my boyfriend is in there currently he should be graduating within the next week or so and your videos kept me going along with his letters. He wrote me and told me he wants us to get married the weekend that he graduates, do you think this will be possible? He has liberty from friday-tuesday. Well he only has liberty that weekend but he doesn't leave till tuesday june 8. He will be stationed in california so do you think we'll be able to get married at the courthouse that weekend or will we have to wait til he goes to california? I really love your videos they help out alot not just for the people in the navy, but also for the loved ones who has someone in the navy.

I think being an IT is a good job. You will definitely have a job if you decide to get out of the Navy.
